The kind of perspiration that can only be felt when hard work is performed in higher humidity levels.
The sweat you feel trickling down your back in such a way that you think there must be a bug that got under your shirt and you momentarily freak out. Only to realize it’s not a plethora of tiny legs tickling your spine, but almost-as-gross sweat that negated whatever morning hygiene routine is yours that day.
But then: you pause to look at the results of your hard work, where beauty shines through…and suddenly that sweat is slightly less gross than it was only a moment before. Because that sweat proves you are all-in. You can shrug off the little discomforts and focus on what got you to that somewhat smelly place to begin with.
(Okay, maybe it’s still gross. But gross with a purpose.)
