Next Chapter

Some things were built to last long beyond its first owner.

They wear their age like the cover of an interesting book, with a wealth of stories waiting to be discovered.

Today, as we loaded the cars with the parts of one of those “built to last” things and brought it home, the weight of its history settled into my mind. I found myself wondering what it’s next chapter in our home would be. And what we’d get to discover about it during the time that we’re fortunate to play the part of its custodians.
